• Day   3.   Trekking in the National Park Huerquehue; Hotel in Pucon
• Day   4.   Climbing the active Vulcan Villarica; Hotel Hotel in Pucon
• Day   5.   Frutillar on the Llanquihue lake and Angelmo in Puerto Montt; Hotel in Puerto Varas

Language: Spanish
Voltage: 220 volt (European plugs)
Time: during summertime GMT -3 hours
           during wintertime GMT -4 hours
Climate: Expect large temperature changes in the Northern parts of the country, from tropical during the day to freezing at night.
Central Chile has a moderate "Mediterranean" climate with hot dry summers and moderately wet winters.
Lake district: Wet all year round with warm summers and cold winters.
Southernmost Chile: Cool summers and cold winters.
The weather in these parts varies greatly and often unexpectedly, for instance you may experience warm sunny weather, gale force winds, wet snow, rain and hail all within a few hours during a typical summers day in Punta Arenas.
A high factor suncream is recommended all year round including the Southern parts of Chile as is rain clothing (just in case).

Health: Chile is free of "tropical/3rd world" infectious diseases and no vaccinations are mandatory when arriving from countries that are also free of these diseases.
There are no deadly poisonous animals in Chile
Financial: The official currency is the Chilean Peso ( CH$).
All major credit cards (visa, Masters) are accepted in the money machines as well as a large number of European banc-cards
Guides: We have multilingual guides accompanying you on all trips.
Traffic: A minimum age of 21 years, a valid drivers license and a credit card are required in order to rent a car.
A zero percent alcohol level is in place for drivers
Hotels: Good quality 3-4 star hotels are selected on all our trips. Unless otherwise requested rooms with 2 separate beds will be reserved for you.
