PROGRAM:

• Day 1: Early Flight from Santiago to the “oasis” and City of Calama. Drive from Calama to San Pedro de Atacama with view to the impressive Andean mountain range and volcanoes at more than 6.000 meters above sea level. Check-In in the new and comfortable 4 star Hotel in San Pedro. The small village from which it takes its name was once the center of the “Atacameño” civilization. In the afternoon visiting the arid wasteland of the Moon Valley with a fascinating sunset.
• Day 2: Driving to the Salar de Atacama (largest salt lake of Northern Chile) with visit on route to the town of Toconao. Toconao is a picturesque village built of bricks of white volcanic stone, which lends the town a classic yet unique Altiplano appearance like the church and bell tower. Visit to the Laguna Chaxa with Flamingos, and good opportunity to see many rare birds in their natural habitat. Drive to the magic lagoon Miscanti and Miñiques at 4.300m above sea level. Hotel in San Pedro de Atacama (4*).
• Day 3: Early morning visiting the El Tatio Geysers, 4.300m above sea level, where great pillars of water and steam which rise up some 10 meters high and reach temperatures of 85°C. On our return back at the natural hot springs Puritama, where you enjoy an spectacular swim. In the afternoon drive to Calama. Hotel in Calama (4*)
• Day 4: Special Visit to the huge amphitheatre of the biggest open-cast mine in the world “Chuquicamata”. Drive through the world's driest desert from Calama to Iquique. The city of Iquique became the center of the nitrate trade after its transfer from Peru to Chile at the end of the War of the Pacific. Hotel in Iquique (4*)
• Day 5: This day we heading back into the desert to visit the ghost town of Humbertstone. Visiting the environs of Iquique and visit to the nitrate ghost town “Humbertstone”. Driving from Iquique to Arica, through the vast and empty white desert. The Atacama is so dry that there is absolutely no vegetation -- no trees, no grass, no shrubs. On the way to Arica, we will visit the geoglifas de Chiza, located against the foothills of the Andes. Hotel in Arica (4*)
• Day 6: Morning departure to discover the fascinating beauty of the Lauca National Park, classified as a world biosphere reserve by UNESCO. It is surely, one of the most beautiful regions of Chile. We appreciate the local fauna, and visit Parinacota. Finally, you arrive at Lake Chungara, the highest lake in the world, deep blue wild surface from where we have a fantastic view on Parinacota (6342m) and Sajama (6520m). Overnight in a simple Hosteria in Putre.
• Day 7: After a relaxind breakfast we head back to Arica to visit the most historical places “El Morro”. In the afternoon walk through the center of the city. Hotel in Arica. (4*)
• Day 8: Early Transfer to the airport and flight from Arica to Santiago.

PROGRAM:

• Day 1: Santiago - Punta Arenas - Puerto Natales Torres del Paine National Park
  Fly to Punta Arenas and then drive to Puerto Natales. Torres del Paine National Park. Along the way, you’ll pass by Figueroa Lagoon and several beautiful lakes, keeping your eyes peeled for guanacos, ostriches, black-necked swans, flamingos and condors. Accommodations at Hotel Costa Australis for 2 nights (4*).
• Day 2: Day trip by boat on the fjord Ultima Esperanza visiting the glaciers Balmaceda and Serrano. Hotel Costa Australis in Puerto Natales
• Day 3 - 4: Torres del Paine
  Morning drive to the impressive Andean massifs of Torres del Paine are surrounded by glaciers, waterfalls, lakes and lagoons, which together make this national park famous throughout the world. Cruise out on Grey Lake, where you may witness huge chunks of blue ice breaking off from impressive Grey Glacier. Overnight in Hosteria El Grey (4*).
• Day 5: Torres del Paine - El Calafate
  This morning drive to El Calafate through the Patagonian bushy steppe. Check in at Hotel La Posada (4*), relax and enjoy the late afternoon.
• Day 6: Los Glaciares National Park
  The Park is located in the sub-Antarctic Continental ice-cap, known as the "third pole", which extends over 23,000 sq. miles and gives birth to several major glaciers along the Patagonian Andes Navigate around the ice blocks which are constantly calving from the Perito Moreno Glacier. The main wall is over 200 feet tall and almost 3 miles wide. Every now and then enormous pieces of ice break down, and fall with thunderous noise into the lake.
• Day 7: Estancia Cristina and Upsala Glacier
  Board a modern catamaran on Lago Argentino. The boat gets close to Spegazzini arm of the lake to enter the channel leading to Estancia Cristina, surrounded by towering ice-capped mountains and glowing ice-blue bergs floating in the lake. Choose between a sightseeing drive to Mirador del Glaciar Upsala in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle (3 hours) or a 5-6 hour horseback ride. Lunch is included (lamb barbecue for the 4x4 group and box-lunch for the riders.) Return to Calafate at the end of the day
• Day 8: Drive back to Puerto Natales and Check In in Hotel Costa Australis.
• Day 9: Drive from Puerto Natales to Punta Arenas and visiting Fuerte Bulnes, located at kilometer 60 on a hilltop at Punta Santa Ana (Santa Ana Point). Rinconada Bulnes, a small fishing village, is near Fuerte Bulnes. In 1843, Chile took possesion of the Strait and the Patagonian lands by establishing its first settlement and fort at this site. The present fort is a recreation of the original one. The reconstructed buildings include the church, chaplain's quarters, jail, powder magazine, post office and stables. In one of the stables, there is a colonial carriage and plow as well as an old indian canoe. Back to Punta Arenas City and Check In in Hotel Cabo de Horno (4*).
• Day 10: End of Self Drive Tour! Connection program: 4 nights / 5 days Sailing from Punta Arena - Ushuaia!
