This park offers one of the best short circuit treks of the whole region, besides spectacular views of the volcano Villarrica and surroundings. From the north end of the lake Tinquilco a path leads deep into the forest. Then a couple of stream crossings after wich the path begins to ascend and doesn't stop for the next 7 Km., rising from 700 meters to more than 1.320 meters of altitude. It crosses a Mañios forest and gigantic Coigües, before reaching the magnificent Araucaria trees. On our journey back we will make a break in the nice cabin of Patricio! On the return trip to Pucon we can visit some natural termal hot springs. Overnight in Pucon!
  • Day 4: This day we will visit Valdivia a small town located next to the Calle Calle River. This city was settled in the early 1852 by german immigrants and is now one of the nicest cities of Chile. During the afternoon we will visit different historical forts before we arrive at the Island Huapi for a delicious lunch. In the afternoon return to Valdivia and overnight!
  • Day 5: In the morning we will visit the Botanical gardens in Valdivia and your guide will introduce you to many native trees of the Chilean rain forest. Overnight in Puerto Varas.
  • Day 6: In the morning we'll drive along the southern shore of Lago Llanquihue, our first real stop however will be at the Saltos de Petrohue. The beginnings of this series of rapids and waterfalls were formed long ago by the cooling lava from the Volcano still towering behind them. From the Saltos de Petrohue we drive up onto the lower reaches of the now immense Volcan Osorno. Our next stop will be the Lake Todo los Santos where you will enjoy the views of different volcanoes, rainforest, flora and fauna! In the afternoon return trip to Puerto Varas!
  • Day 7: Flight from Puerto Montt to Punta Arenas and then a drive to Puerto Natales. Along the way, you’ll pass by Figueroa Lagoon and several beautiful lakes, keeping your eyes peeled for guanacos, ostriches, black-necked swans, flamingos and condors. Accommodations in Puerto Natales.
  • Day 8: Departure at approximately 8:30 a.m. we will get on board and start our day trip by boat.. After and hour of sailing along the Señoret Canal we reach the mouth of Fiordo Eberhard. This is where cattle ranching was started in the Ultima Esperanza area in 1887 by the German Captain Eberhard. After this we start to sail along the Fiordo Ultima Esperanza. Two hours of sailing from Puerto Natales, we arrive at the Cormorant Colony. Hundreds of these birds, which, at first sight, resemble penguins, use the "Barrosa" point as their breeding ground, resting there and leaving only after their young have learned to fly, 3 months later. As we move along the fiord, the landscape becomes more scenic and imposing, the mountains more majestic. Ahead of us now we have the majestic Monte Balmaceda and the glacier leading off its eastern slopes. After four hours of sailing we dock at Puerto Toro, from where you walk with your guide the last kilometer to the base of the Serrano Glacier. The walk takes us through wonderful indigenous forest along the shore of the lake. Both Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers are in the Monte Balmaceda National Park. In the afternoon return back to Puerto Natales!
  • Day 9 - 10: Morning drive to the impressive Andean massifs of Torres del Paine wich are surrounded by glaciers, waterfalls, lakes and lagoons, together making this national park famous throughout the world. Cruise out on Grey Lake, where you may witness huge chunks of blue ice breaking off from the impressive Grey Glacier (boat trip not included!). Overnight in Hosteria El Grey (4*) or similar!
  • Day 11: Torres del Paine - El Calafate This morning drive to El Calafate through the Patagonian bush steppe. Check in at Hotel La Posada (4*), relax and enjoy the late afternoon
  • Day 12: Los Glaciares National Park The Park is located in the sub-Antarctic Continental ice-cap, known as the "third pole", which extends over 23,000 sq. miles and gives birth to several major glaciers along the Patagonian Andes. Navigate around the ice blocks which are constantly calving from the Perito Moreno Glacier. The main wall is over 200 feet tall and almost 3 miles wide.
